Dear Pastors and priests, deacons and wives and parish leaders:
I’m pleased to invite you to another Pope Francis School of Ministry specialization offered as follows:
Liturgical Ministries in the service of Parish Sunday Mass
It is an opportunity to encourage your parishioners to sign up who would like to serve their brothers and sisters in the Sacred Liturgy. It would be very worthwhile also for those who have served but want to go deeper into the theology and best practice of serving in these multiple ministries according to the mind of the Church and informed by the renewal of our Liturgy in the 2nd Vatican Council and all that has flowed from that wonderful moment in the Church!
The professor for this in-person, 3-Saturday Specialization, Fr. Peter Bosque, is among the most popular of our presenters, because of his theological and liturgical/sacramental expertise, his entertaining stories and insights, and his many years as a successful Pastor serving in large and small parishes in many dioceses. His knowledge and broad experience will keep you interested, informed, and excited about such service to God’s People. For this Specialization he will offer the course in the Southern Diocese at St. Williams, Atascadero, and the Old Mission parish in San Luis Obispo. He will cover the ministries of Lector, Greeter/minister of Hospitality, Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister, and Minister of Art and Environment. He will give an interesting and informative overview of the richness of the Sacred Liturgy, the Council’s reform and renewal, the goal of this celebration of the Paschal Mystery in forming the People of God as more committed disciples and reminding us all of the mission to which the Liturgy sends us !
During this 2nd Year of the Eucharistic Revival, I’m confident in sharing that THIS is formation that will certainly assist you Pastors in your own many efforts to revitalize and renew our parish liturgies!
Please view below the flyer containing all the details you need to join us for this wonderful time of spiritual growth and learning, and theological and sacramental formation for SERVICE!.
Summer blessings on you all, I remain,
Sincerely yours in His name and service,
Deacon David R. Ford, Th.M., S.T.L.
